A new wave of laser technology, pico-second lasers, have become commercially available. These lasers generate laser energy with pulse widths at the pico-second range(1.0 ps =10−12 s). The theory is that by having a reduced pulse width of the laser energy, pico-second lasers are more superior to nano-second Q-switched lasers — with reduced side effects and increased efficacy.

What is Picosecond laser good for?
